As we plan our honeymoon, currently limited to travel within the U.S. for visa reasons, we have been researching different destinations and exploring ideas for visiting national parks. The more we look, the more we realize we would love to experience as many of them as we can.

Our relationship began long distance, and in those early years we did not really take vacations, unless you count flying back and forth between Stockholm and New York to see each other. Those trips were meaningful, but they were not exactly restful getaways.

One of our first real vacations together was a trip to Big Sur, where we stayed at Deetjen’s Inn. With no cell service, we hiked in the mornings, enjoyed delicious meals at the inn, and went skinny dipping in the ice cold water. It was one of the most memorable times we have shared, and we immediately said we needed to do this more often.

We are excited to finally begin this new chapter together, with real adventures, wide landscapes, and time to explore side by side.
